At a recent meeting sponsored by DePuy/Synthes in Chicago, IL (October 24-25th 2019), the opportunity that digital technology offers to Orthopedic Medicine was highlighted.
Manish Kothari, from the Stanford Research Institute, presented a talk on emerging technology trends. Other speakers reviewed what the future looks like for joint replacement. Developments such as digital solutions to preoperative imaging for hip and knee replacements, devices to enhance patient selection, patient optimization and risk stratification were discussed.
Dr. Barrett had the honor of presenting talks about patient selection, optimization, and surgical technique for revision knee replacement. He demonstrated several enabling technologies that are currently available for surgeons.
