VOA hand and shoulder surgeon Dr. Craig T. Arntz and his wife, Josie Arntz, will host the 24th Annual Dream Gala “Mad For a Cure” on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel. The black tie event and silent auction benefits Juvenile Diabetes Research and kicks off at 6:00pm, with dinner, a live auction, and entertainment commencing after 7:45pm. JDRF and the JDRF Seattle Guild unify global efforts to cure, treat, and prevent type 1 diabetes.
Each year at the JDRF Dream Gala, the JDRF Seattle Guild presents The Living & Giving Award to an individual, family, or company who has made a significant contribution toward JDRF’s efforts to find a cure for diabetes. The 2013 recipients are Susan and David Lombard, and Jameson, Babbitt, Stites & Lombard. Gala entertainment will be provided by Pink Martini. Auction items include trips, jewelry, and even an English Bulldog puppy. Last year’s Super Dream Gala raised over $3.2 million.
