At POA, being involved and contributing to our community is a critical component of our mission. Whether we’re sponsoring local events, providing free health seminars or supporting local businesses, we are thrilled when we have the opportunity to make a difference.
Recently, one of our talented orthopedic doctors, Dr. Ty C. Jones, has been giving back to his community in a fun, unique way! Earlier this month, Dr. Jones volunteered as a ringside physician for Cappy’s Boxing Club’s 7th-annual Central District Boxing Revival!
The Central District Boxing Revival is an annual USA Boxing-sanctioned event that matches amateur boxers, ages 8 to 34, from clubs all over the Northwest region. With a special guest appearance by The Total Experience Gospel Choir, tasty treats and more, the Central District Boxing Revival was fun for the whole family!
Proceeds from the event benefited Cappy’s Boxing Club in Seattle, which, since its inception in 1998, has provided local amateur boxers with the opportunity to train for Olympic-level competition and develop the skills and confidence to face their fears in and out of the ring. Dr. Jones is honored to have been able to provide his services to this amazing non-profit club.
Dr. Jones is a fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine expert who specializes in treating sports medicine injuries and conditions and performs concussion management. Specializing in helping his patients perform at their highest level, Dr. Jones is an expert in injury prevention, preparation for athletic pursuits, athletic prescription, sports nutrition, bracing, return-to-play decisions regarding acute illness and more.
The orthopedic surgeons at POA are not only committed to giving back to their community, but to improving your quality of life with the best orthopedic services in the greater Seattle area. If you have questions about hip replacement, knee arthroscopy or more, contact us today!
