Dr. Robert Veith, a foot and ankle specialist at Proliance Orthopedic Associates, is also an active volunteer and Board President of the Prosthetics Outreach Foundation. This August, he led the organization on a surgical mission to Vietnam. While there, his team of volunteers treated numerous children and adults suffering from limb loss and deformities, such as clubfoot. Dr. Veith and his team also provided local medical personnel with technical training in prosthetics and orthopedic surgical practices.
The mission of the Prosthetics Outreach Foundation is to improve the quality of orthopedic care and prosthetic techniques in developing countries. In its 24 years of existence, the foundation has helped nearly 20,000 amputees regain their mobility worldwide.
