Seahawks’ Harvin Has Hip Issues

Several key Seattle Seahawks have been sidelined lately by injuries and prolonged recovery from orthopedic surgery. In particular, Seattle hopes to get wide receiver Percy Harvin back on the field before the NFL playoffs, which start on January 5, 2014.

Harvin played his only game of the 2013 season on November 17, when he was originally slated to return from off-season hip surgery. However, he re-aggravated his injury (some say because he tried to return too soon) and was ruled out of subsequent games, including this past weekend’s clash with the New York Giants. Seattle and Harvin can use a first round bye week in the playoffs to get healthy, but the Seahawks would prefer to see Harvin in action during the last two weeks of the regular season, as a warm-up for postseason play.
