VOA welcomes hand surgeon Niket Shrivastava, M.D. to its upper extremity medical staff. Dr. Shrivastava is accepting new patients at VOA’s Renton and Covington clinics. He joins upper extremity surgeons Craig Arntz, M.D. and Traci Barthel, M.D.
Dr. Shrivastava received fellowship training in hand surgery at University of California Davis Medical Center. His postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University was an orthopedic residency that focused on supervised biomechanical studies of the hand, knee and shoulder. He received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville. In addition to hand and wrist conditions, Dr. Shrivastava will practice general orthopedics.
Dr. Arntz specializes in diseases affecting the rotator cuff, arthritis in the hand and wrist, and applying advanced arthroscopic techniques. A Seattle native, he has co-authored several research articles and book chapters about rotator cuff repair and shoulder reconstruction. Dr. Arntz practices at VOA’s Renton clinic.
Dr. Barthel specializes in hand and wrist surgery. She completed fellowship training in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of Washington. Dr. Barthel practices at POA’s Renton and Covington clinics.
