The Prosthetic Outreach Foundation’s 25th Annual Gala Dinner and Auction, held on March 1, raised more than $400,000, exceeding all fundraising goals. However, the biggest news may have been that the foundation announced that it will change its name to Mobility Outreach International, moving forward.
POA orthopedic surgeons Dr. Robert G. Veith and Dr. Susan R. Cero are just two of the doctors who volunteer to help MOI provide mobility to people in developing countries. Dr. Veith and Dr. Cero visited Vietnam last February, and Dr. Veith returned in August.
The 25th Annual Gala was held at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, WA. The event was hosted by KOMO TV’s Keith Eldridge, while the fundraising auction was led by auctioneer Graham Crow. All proceeds from the event support the MOI’s mission of providing prosthetic and orthotic aid and physical rehabilitation in developing countries. One of MOI’s focuses is children with clubfoot.
If you’ve ever been to the annual gala, you know that it’s a wonderful event for an incredible cause. If you’re interested in attending, stay tuned for details about next year’s fundraiser.
